I received my fourth (or fifth?) renewal notice as a Microsoft MVP this morning. I am proud to be recognized as contributing to the SQL Server community. Thanks to everyone that reads my work or comes to see me speak and I’m glad if I can help a few of you in your SQL Server work and career.

  1. Congrats! Looking forward to hopefully one day I can earn mine.

    • Thanks. I think aiming for the MVP is the wrong approach. Do what you can for the community, if that is what you want to do, and if it’s enough, you get awarded. I keep evolving my community contributions to match life, and if it gets me renewed, that’s good. If it doesn’t, that’s fine as well.

  2. Great Job Steve, well deserved, as usual!
